What Waterproofing Includes

We start with the exterior causes, because correcting grading and extending downspout discharge is inexpensive and eliminates a large share of intrusion. Where water still enters, we install interior perimeter drainage that collects it at the foundation and routes it to a properly sized sump basin.

The pump and discharge are the part most installations get wrong. Discharge has to run far enough from the foundation that water does not recirculate, be freeze-resistant at the termination, and never tie into the sanitary sewer.
